The nice weather is here and for a lot of people, that means venturing out beyond the walls of their workplace to check out the local fare.
Food Truck Thursdays kicks off on June 8th and Wednesday Lunch Parties starts June 7th but until then, here are four places in Kanata North that will wake your taste buds up and have you venturing off the beaten path during your break.
La Maison Du Kouign-Amann
101 Schneider Road
Kanata North’s new bakery specializes in true artisanal French pastries as well as a wide variety of exquisite French recipes.
For lunch, consider grabbing their delicious, savoury quiche or one of their delicious, made-fresh tarts. If you have a sweet tooth, their macarons are out of this world and their fruit-filled tarts are incredible.
LUNA Crepes & Café
110-329 March Road
Whether you need a meeting spot or a quick bite to eat for lunch, LUNA Crepes & Café is a fantastic place to do both. If you are looking to add a little bit of sweetness to your workday, LUNA’s made-in-house gelato is a sure-fire way to do so.
The good food is not the only reason to stop in – they also have free WiFi, which means you can justify that out-of-office meeting in a place that smells like heavenly crepe batter and chocolate.
Perspectives Restaurant or Options Jazz Lounge at Brookstreet Hotel
525 Legget Drive
Whether you’re looking to impress a client that is in town or you’d like some place to gather your team for a celebratory lunch out, Brookstreet Hotel has two fantastic options to whet your appetite.
We personally love the fish and chips at the Options Jazz Lounge as well as the steak and frites. Both make fantastic (and filling!) lunches.
4055 Carling Avenue
Craving some authentic Thai food? Look no further than Sabai Thai. The plates here will leave you satisfied and looking ahead to your next lunch date before you even leave the building.
Well, we’re officially starving!
